As the firm's founder, Donald practiced in Lake County, Illinois for over 40 years, and he earned a reputation as the local expert in real estate law. When he moved to Libertyville, the town was a small town surrounded by farmland and small businesses. He has been involved in tens of thousands of real estate transactions since that time, and he has represented builders, developers, and business people during the transformation of the town into a thriving metropolitan suburb.
Donald has consistently been named one of Attorneys' Title Guaranty Fund's top members, and he was recognized by his peers as one of the Leading Illinois Attorneys in the field of real estate law.
Donald was a technology guru in the 1980s with his mastery of MS DOS and his use of mobile phones to conduct business on the go. His technical mind has carried him forward into the hobbyist-profession of digital photography. He and his wife, Baiba, travel often for photo journalism expeditions and occasionally to play golf. They have six grandchildren, and when Donald is not working he enjoys taking his grand kids on local adventures.
